Hi, Robin. How are you doing? Been months since we exchanged posts. I hope you had a good summer
Nobody on the list really jumps out at me, which is a little disappointing. Usually there's at least one I can get excited about
Oh, well. There are always hidden gems every season (like Normani from last year). We'll figure out who this season's gems are soon enough
Manbun is back. That's good. Slim will be stoked when he finds out, I'm sure
Terrell Owens keeps himself in good shape, so he might be someone to watch
Big red flag with the para-Olympian though. *groan* I just hope she has use of all four limbs, otherwise...ugh:)
How did you re-find the site? I dont think I would have been able to. Does the Globe still provide a link?

I googled and googled and finally arrived at bdc-politics.freeforums.net/My summer was good, thanks for asking. I am up to walking 5 to 8+ miles per day on the treadmill at the gym, depending on the mood I am in. It's wicked boring, but if it keeps me off of prescription meds I'm happy  How was your summer? Keo just might be able to make this work..... Peta has lost the baby weight and looks lean and mean. Maks must be a good father, who would have imagined. Peta has to be spending hours at the gym. |

Barbara looks kinda frail to me. I'm not sure she is gonna be able to hold up all season long
I hope for poor Keo's sake she is at least half way decent though. He deserves to have a good partner for once
Good to hear about Peta. She looked out of shape and unhappy last season. I'm glad she is back to being fit again
Interesting that the show paired the two married pro's with the two married "stars". I wonder how that will play out?
My summer was good, Robin. I just wish it was longer. You know how people get seasonal depression around Xmas & New Years? Mine usually kicks in on Labor Day Weekend:)
I'll be alright though. No problem:)

Okay. I know what you mean about Labor Day Weekend. My Seasonal Affective Disorder (self diagnosed, no meds thank you) doesn't officially kick in till late October around Halloween. I'll be okay too. |

Well, I dunno if he will make it in time for opening night ten days hence, Robin, but I'm pretty sure Slim will find his way back here at some point during the season.
It wouldnt be the same without him
He only watches fifteen minutes of the show every week, and he can never remember anyone's name, but somehow his opinions are always spot on
I dunno how he does it, but that's Slim

Yup, Manbun has a very good partner this season. Maks does too though (Vanessa Lachay) and Lindsay (that Jordan Fisher dude). Theyre my Top Three. I'll put Jordan at number one for the moment. He's really smooth
Bottom Three: Barbara. I liked her reaction when she found out Keo was her partner though. Barbara is hot for Keo
Fat Sasha Pieters who is in it only to lose weight for her wedding
And that real estate guy, Drew Scott. Seems physically awkward to me. Likeable personality though
Good first night, I thought. No YJH at the Judge's Table, and no mention of her either, so I assume she will have no role on the show this season. That's good. Addition by subtraction
As for Victoria Arlen, she has an incredible personal story recovering from paralysis. But she's a little too happy-happy for me. I dont think I'll be rooting for her much

The Keo Curse, in full effect again last night, Robin. His sixth appearance on the show as a pro, and it's the 3rd time he's been bounced out first (Lolo, Chaka, and now Barbara). Bounced out second two other times as well
People think we're kidding about the curse, but we're not. It's real. Makes the Dovolani Curse look like a blessing by omparison
A full two hour show tonight, which is a surprise. I thought it was just gonna be a one hour results show. Family Feud too, so a long night ahead. I hope I make it all the way through without nodding off
Who by the way are Kandi Burress and ynthia Bailey? I have no idea. Never heard of either one
PS Frankie Muniz! I overlooked him last week, but he's good. If his back holds up, I think he'll be a contender right to the end

I agree, the "gangly" one is probably the next elimination.
FM is likable, but he just isn't that attractive, okay, maybe he is,in a boyish way.
Poor Keo. I believe in the curse stuff, I hope he can break through it.
Regarding Family Feud, I don't know who those people are either.
But, Robert and Kym will be there!

Frankie is an ordinary looking guy, yes, but I dont think that matters, Robin. Pretty evident he enjoys being on the show, and he seems very motivated too, putting in the extra time, working hard to improve each week, which I appreciate. Plus he's become a judge's favorite (first 9 of the season last night), and his partner, Whitney, absolutely loves him. So in my mind he's headed for the final three. No question about it. Dunno if he's going to win, but he'll definitely be involved finale night
My Top 4: Vanessa, Jordan, Lindsey, Frankie (not sure what order)
Bottom 4: Nick, Terrell, Drew, and Derek (again not sure on the order, but I'd say Nick & Terrell are the most vulnerable at this point)
Nikki, Fat Sasha, and Victoria rank somewhere in the middle
Except for Barbara there are no noticeably poor dancers this season. Everyone is actually pretty good including Debbie who was eliminated last night. The Top 4 stand out for me however
PS Turns out Kandi and Cynthia from Family Feud last night are "Real Housewives". No wonder I never heard of them:)

I dozed off about 10pm. But, I caught some of it here and there.
I agree with your assessment.

No Maks and no elimination last night, Robin. With no adequate explanation for either one
I can put up with Maks being AWOL, but the no elimination thing bugs me. This is not the first time it's happened. I really hate it. Makes me wonder who received the fewest viewer votes and would have been eliminated otherwise. I'm guessing it was one of the better dancers, and instead of sending him home (or her home), the producers stepped in and gave him another week to try and redeem himself/herself
Or maybe it was one of the mediocre dancers. I have no idea really. But either way I dont like it. Makes me skeptical
PS Did you see that Sasha's "guilty pleasure" is baking? Hmmm, never would have guessed that, huh?
The fat girl on the show loves baked goods. Gee, what a shocker:)

Apparently the "personal issue" that kept Maks away Monday night was his partner, Vanessa. According to reports the two of them were feuding last week. Wow
He never missed a single episode when he partnered with Hope Solo, and we all know what a giant B/hot mess she was. So for him to skip out like he did, geez. The fight with Vanessa must have been pretty intense
I was going to pick them too as my early leaders for the MBT, but with this new shocking information that they don't get along, I'm going to have to reevaluate:)

Interesting....... Vanessa does come across as bossy, so I can see how she would clash with Maks. Maks needs to stay professional and stop biting the hand that feeds him, so to speak. Maks isn't as popular and as necessary to the show (DWTS) as he once was. I think Artem is quickly becoming the top dog |

Based strictly on talent, Nick should have been the one sent home last night IMO, but Derek was no showstopper that's for sure...either as a performer or as a personality...so I'm okay with him leaving
No mention of Maks going AWOL last week. I would have liked a little acknowledgement of his absence, but I suppose they were so focused on their Most Memorable Year theme, they had no time for anything else
First 10's of the season go to young Jordan Fisher (YJF)! He's leading at this point, I would say

Yeah, she said she lost 37 pounds, which is a lot of weight. Another 30 more to go, and she'll look amazing in her wedding dress!
Disney Week is such a turn off, isnt it? Do they have it every season, or once a year? I forget. Either way,I dont like it
Most embarrassing costume: a tie between Val's Steamboat Willie shorts and Vanessa's Snow White outfit which looked ridiculous on her

I think the "fix" is only temporary, Robin. Didnt look like his usual hair coloring to me. I bet Artem is back to blonde next week
Little known fact: Peta's last two partners were both named Nick - Nick Viall, The Bachelor...and Nick Lachay, the married guy. Neither could dance a lick
I'll say this about Nick L though: he at least is self-aware enough to know he wasnt any good. He admitted so last night when he said he's the worst dancer left on the show, and he was right. I appreciate a guy who is honest with himself
Looks like there's no stopping Jordan and Lindsey. I dont see anybody beating either one of those two out of a spot for the finale. Each had another strong performance again last night. Theyre just too good
Also enjoyed Terrell's James Bond Jive. Thought it was great
Lowlight for me was guest judge, Shania Twain, lip syncing her way through that song. Very disappointing. Still attractive, but something about her face looks unnatural to me now, and it put me off a little bit:)
