... and sinking himself deeper into quicksand of his own making. Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Now we know why Trump panicked about Russia probe
You know things are looking grim for President Donald Trump when he starts tweeting about Hillary Clinton again. Monday evening he sounded trapped and wounded: "Why isn't the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech."
Well, perhaps it is because she is not president, did not hold back her tax returns, did not constantly cheer for Vladimir Putin, did not hire a host of pro-Putin flunkies and did not have aides who lied about contact with Russian officials.
Trump's tweet certainly appears to be an attempt to deflect attention and to shift discussion away from the newest revelation about the Trump Russia scandal. The Post reports:
"The Trump administration sought to block former acting attorney general Sally Yates from testifying to Congress in the House investigation of links between Russian officials and Donald Trump's presidential campaign, The Washington Post has learned, a position that is likely to further anger Democrats who have accused Republicans of trying to damage the inquiry.
...
That will strike many as a ham-handed attempt to interfere with the investigation. Moreover, it makes the decision House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif. — who remains under fire for his bizarre secret trip to the White House to view alleged information from some unidentified source, which he still has not revealed to other members of the committee — made to cancel an open hearing look once again like water-carrying for the White House.
Appearing on CBS this morning Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., joined the chorus of voices lambasting Nunes:
NORAH O'DONNELL: Let me ask you about what Chairman Nunes has done. Do you think it was appropriate that he went to go view these so-called intelligence reports on White House grounds?
SEN. JOHN MCCAIN: Well, I think there needs to be a lot of explaining to do. I've been around for quite a while and I've never heard of any such thing. And- obviously- in a committee like an intelligence committee, you've got to have bipartisanship, otherwise the committee loses- credibility.
And so- l- there's so much out there that needs to be explained by the chairman. And- look- if- this is a very serious issue. It all started with Russian interference- attempt to change the outcome of our election. And so, it's turning into a centipede like these things have a tendency of doing. And another shoe seems to drop every few days. ...
Stopping just short of demanding Nunes recuse himself, McCain's open criticism of Nunes nevertheless opens the door for more pressure on Nunes from the GOP. Republicans may be reading polling showing Trump's approval dropping and support for an independent commission rising. (In the latest Quinnipiac poll voters favor an independent inquest by a 66 to 29 percent margin.) Frankly, if Republicans in Congress want to demonstrate independence from a failing president and avoid constant questions about the issue they'd be smart to offload the entire matter to an independent commission or select committee. Nunes has made his own position — and Republicans' support for him — increasingly difficult to maintain.
Meanwhile, as he often does, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., gets off the best line regarding Nunes: "The problem that he's created is he's gone off on a lark by himself, sort of an Inspector Clouseau investigation here." Indeed.

www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-demands-intel-panel-probe-clinton-foundation-ties-to-russian-uranium-deal/article/2618614President Trump argued in a pair of tweets Monday evening that the House Intelligence Committee should look a deal between a Russian state-owned energy company, Rosatom, and a Canadian-owned mining company with deep ties to the Clinton Foundation that had ultimately placed one-fifth of U.S. uranium interests in Russian hands.
In one of the tweets, Trump asserted that stories about his campaign's alleged connection to Russian officials are a "hoax."
"Why isn't the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech....," he wrote in one tweet.Since Russian deals are on the table let's look at all of them I suppose.

Reminder: Former POTUS Obama is about as far away from the U.S. as he can possibly be right now. Check this out:
Obama's rule changes opened door for NSA intercepts of Americans to reach political hands
circa.com/politics/barack-obama-changed-how-nsa-intercepts-of-americans-like-donald-trump-could-be-shared
Dozens of times in 2016, those intelligence reports identified Americans who were directly intercepted talking to foreign sources or were the subject of conversations between two or more monitored foreign figures. Sometimes the Americans’ names were officially unmasked; other times they were so specifically described in the reports that their identities were readily discernible. Among those cleared to request and consume unmasked NSA-based intelligence reports about U.S. citizens were Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice, his CIA Director John Brennan and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
As his presidency drew to a close, Barack Obama’s top aides routinely reviewed intelligence reports gleaned from the National Security Agency’s incidental intercepts of Americans abroad, taking advantage of rules their boss relaxed starting in 2011 to help the government better fight terrorism, espionage by foreign enemies and hacking threats, Circa has learned.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... GOP lawmaker calls for select committee on Russia
Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) told The Hill on Wednesday that he supports empaneling a bipartisan independent select committee to investigate Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election as questions over House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes's (R-Calif.) handling of the issue continue to mount.
Curbelo said a congressional select committee — which would work independently of the House and Senate Intelligence committees — would “give greater credibility and independence to the investigation.”

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Ya'll better start passing around the vodka, comrades ... the Liar-in-Chief isn't able to turn off the damn faucet. Did Michael Flynn Strike A Deal With The FBI? “It is starting to look like, from my sources and then also from open reporting, that Mike Flynn is the one who may have a deal with the FBI and that’s why we have not heard from him for some time,” Juliette Kayyem, an assistant secretary for intergovernmental affairs in the Obama administration, said in a panel discussion on Friday night.
Kayyem noted that of the four former Trump advisers who are said to be subjects in an FBI investigation of potential ties to the Russian government, Flynn is the only one who has not volunteered to testify to Congress. The other three advisers, Paul Manafort, Carter Page, and Roger Stone, offered to testify earlier this week.
A spokesman for Flynn declined to confirm or deny that it is.
“I don’t have anything on that,” Flynn spokesman Price Floyd told The Daily Caller when asked for comment on Kayyem’s claim.
When pressed for clarification if he was denying the claim or was was merely not responding, Floyd said: “Not responding.”
A confirmation that Flynn has struck a deal of some sort with the FBI would be a major blow against the Trump White House.
Flynn has been involved in two scandals involving foreign governments in recent weeks. He was fired as Trump’s national security adviser after 24 days on the job last month because he misled Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had with Russia’s ambassador.
And earlier this month, the retired lieutenant general took the unusual step of retroactively registering as a foreign agent of the Turkish government. He disclosed that his firm, Flynn Intel Group, signed a $600,000 contract with Inovo BV, a Dutch shell company linked to the Turkish government.
Former CIA director James Woolsey, who served as an unpaid adviser for Flynn Intel, came forward Friday with some troubling details about Flynn’s work for the Turkish government.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Which of the wing-rats are going to be the first to jump ship? Ya'll better start breaking out the life vests, comrades. Senators expand Russia investigation, amid scrutiny of House probe
Leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee announced Wednesday they are expanding their investigation of Russia’s interference in the U.S. presidential campaign and beyond, vowing to remain independent and “get to the bottom of this” – amid mounting controversy over a similar probe on the House side.
The senators announced they are now scheduling interviews and reviewing thousands of sensitive documents, and are prepared to issue subpoenas if necessary.
“This investigation’s scope will go wherever the intelligence leads it,” Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C., told reporters, speaking alongside top panel Democrat Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... The drips are turning into a full fledged deluge. I hope you comrades can swim. ‘More Than Circumstantial Evidence’ Trump Associates Colluded With Russia
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the Ranking Member on the committee, was asked by Chuck Todd on "Meet The Press Daily" whether or not he only has a circumstantial case.
"Actually no, Chuck," he said. "I can tell you that the case is more than that and I can't go into the particulars, but there is more than circumstantial evidence now."

That same Adam Schiff-face?

Um.....yo UFO Village Idiot....the REAL Village Idiot.....um you do know your little post here, the information, is at least a couple of days old, right?
Have you read a paper or watched the news? Oooops...I'm sorry I forgot you can't read.
The information Nunes viewed is wide open and can be seen by anyone on that committee as soon as they choose. In fact, the agency within the WH has formally invited them to come see the information proving illegal surveillance.
Schiff-head is either too lazy or too afraid of the truth to go look.
Try and keep up loser.
Spanking your sorry stupid ass is getting boring.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... The wingnuts are now standing on their tip-toes to try and keep their heads above the level of the cesspool that is the Liar-in-Chiefs administration. It’s looking more and more like there was some kind of collusion between Nunes and the White House.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Nunes ditched his own staff the night before making his announcement. On Monday, the news broke that he had gone to the White House grounds to use a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility ― basically, a room or area that meets certain rigorous security standards ― to get the information that formed the basis of his accusations.
This raised the distinct possibility that the White House itself had been the source of the information, and that it had given that information to Nunes so he could provide Trump with some cover for his baseless accusation that former President Barack Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower. (The FBI and Nunes himself have said there is no evidence to support Trump’s claims.)
...
But it’s basically impossible to believe that someone from the White House did not at least know that Nunes was coming to use the SCIF to access the information that would form the basis of his now-controversial press conference.
The timing of last week’s events offered the first indication of possible coordination between Nunes and the Trump administration. Earlier this month, Trump told Fox News that evidence to back up his wiretapping claims would soon emerge.
Two days later, Nunes held an impromptu press conference, where he alleged that Trump and his team were surveilled during the Obama administration. Hours later, Spicer directly quoted Nunes during the daily White House press briefing. Later that day, Nunes went to the White House to brief Trump on his findings. Trump emerged from the meeting feeling “somewhat” vindicated, he told reporters.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky .... The firewall around the Angry Cheeto is showing some serious cracks. Looks like Flynn is vying to be the first wingrat off the Titanic. Apparently he doesn't want to add his name to the growing list of comrades that have become a liability to Putin's Puppet regime here in 'Murica.
Mike Flynn Offers to Testify in Exchange for Immunity Former national security adviser tells FBI, the House and Senate intelligence committees he’s willing to be interviewed in exchange for deal, officials say
Mike Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation and congressional officials investigating the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia that he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter.
As an adviser to Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, and later one of Mr. Trump’s top aides in the White House, Mr. Flynn was privy to some of the most sensitive foreign-policy deliberations of the new administration and was directly involved in discussions about the possible lifting of sanctions on Russia imposed by the Obama administration.
...
It wasn’t clear if Mr. Flynn had offered to talk about specific aspects of his time working for Mr. Trump, but the fact that he was seeking immunity suggested Mr. Flynn feels he may be in legal jeopardy following his brief stint as the national security adviser, one official said.

this should be exciting. can't wait to hear what he has to say. could just be another trap to make libtards look like, well, libtards. like when trump had his tax info "stolen and leaked", Rachel Maddow made a huge deal about it, drove her ratings up sky high, then went on to say how trump paid more taxes than her, obama, sanders, clinton..etc and that there was nothing damning in there.
he may have nothing to offer other than irrelevant information about normal dealings and encounters.

Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Dripsky ... Michael Flynn Underreported $150,000 in Income on White House Forms
Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn underreported more than $150,000 in 2016 income on his initial personal financial disclosure form filed with the White House, including a financial relationship with Russian state-backed outlet RT.
The initial form did not include more than $150,000 earned from 12 speaking engagements in 2016, including $10,000 for an October 2016 engagement for Ibrahim Kurtulus, who is linked to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Flynn's initial filing also failed to disclose some of the sources of his earnings greater than $5,000 during the 2015 and 2016 calendar years, as required. That included a speaking engagement for RT, the Russian-backed network which paid him more than $30,000 in 2015. Flynn attended RT's 10th anniversary gala that year, at which he was seated with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
