I guess for me, I'm a bottom-line kind of guy, if it's not going to change anything then what's the point. And I can honestly say taxes have never been a curiosity of mine. Taxes and tax returns can tell a lot about a person. They are not just a curiosity. Taxes have stopped some people from being confirmed to cabinet positions for example. DJT has holdings everywhere but in a private family owned company. Some of his potential conflicts of interest could be figured out with the release of his tax returns. His holdings are not in a true blind trust. Plus he cannot "unknow" what he owns. He wants to change tax policy. Having his tax returns will show how much he might benefit from any proposed changes. So, you may not find tax returns interesting but Trump does not want his out there. He has never ever proven he is or has been under audit, which is very simple to do. He just had to show that one page letter that comes to tell you the IRS is putting you under audit for "X" year or years. It reveals nothing about your taxes. Nixon released his returns while he was actively under audit. I would be happy to start with the audit letter he claims to have. If you where a good lawyer you'd know that good lawyers advise you not to release anything about your tax returns until the audit is complete. Plus the progressives would probably freak when they see that he hasn't paid a dime in taxes because he lost 700+ thousand dollars in a past years which exempts him from paying taxes for up to 20 years. By the way Andie, I never piled on you while you where away in Rhode island. And if you percieved that I did, I apologize. I'll also have your links to prove to you what I said in my post about "feminism" a little later. I'm a little busy today so you'll have to give me some time. |
