The man who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul with a hammer early Friday morning is a former nudist from British Columbia, Canada in the United States illegally for 20 years. He has struggled with drugs and posted crazed conspiracy theories, anti-Semitic rants, racist slurs and unhinged screeds on religion online. Among some of his posts are declarations that 9/11 was an inside job, the Holocaust was fake, the moon landing was filmed on a set in Hollywood, and Covid is a hoax.

Police said they arrested hemp jewelry maker David DePape, 42, after he broke into the Pelosis' $6million San Francisco home in at 2.27 am in his underwear and beat 82-year-old Paul Pelosi with a hammer while shouting 'where's Nancy'. DePape has been living in the ultra-liberal city of Berkeley,Ca at a home visited by the FBI and displaying Rainbow and PRIDE banners. This wasn't the FBI's first visit. DePape has over 12 previous arrests for various crimes and misdemeanors.

Cops say they were at the property in the exclusive Pacific Heights neighborhood when they saw the suspect grapple with Pelosi, take the hammer and then hit him with it, causing severe head, arm and hand injuries.
When they arrested Depape, they found a manifesto that contained anti-government beliefs and a list of other politicians he planned to target, KTVU reported.
Pelosi was taken into surgery to repair a skull fracture after the attack but is expected to make a full recovery, while DePape is in custody and set to be charged with multiple felonies including attempted homicide.
President Joe Biden called the attack 'horrible' and Republican and Democrats condemned the violence as the House Speaker rushed from DC to San Francisco to be at her husband's side.
DePape grew up in Canada but moved from British Columbia to California 20 years ago. He followed a love interest, his stepfather told CNN, and family members have insisted he was a 'good kid'.
He ended up in the Berkeley area, an ultra-liberal enclave of the city, where he lived in a three-bedroom Victorian flat with famed nudist activist Gypsy Taub and a group who believed 9/11 was an 'inside job'.
A November 2008 article in the Oakland Tribune reported that he had ‘three small children’ with Russian-born Taub. She was quoted in the article on community meals saying: ‘In Russia, where I am from, people share more, and I want my kids to grow up knowing sharing.’
Taub and her fiance Jaymz Smith tapped DePape to be their best man at their nudist wedding in 2013, but he stayed dressed and took photos during the ceremony that attracted a huge police presence.

An acquaintance of his told CNN that DePape was struggling with hard drugs about eight years ago but was 'trying to create a new life for himself.' She said she cut off contact with DePape after receiving 'disturbing' emails in which he sounded 'dangerous' and 'out of touch with reality.'
He first began posting on a blog titled ‘God Is Loving’ in June 2007 with rambling screeds about religion. He stopped posting for 15 years – then suddenly started again on August 24 this year with racist, sexist, anti-semitic and crazed entries.

Pelosi Attacker Was Progressive and Mentally Ill, Says Ex-Girlfriend

He was not a MAGA member; he did not support the events of Jan. 6; and he was never a Republican. But David DePape was a known nudist activist who his ex-girlfriend says was also a progressive and mentally ill. DePape, 42, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, elder abuse and burglary for having bludgeoned Paul Pelosi, 82, with a hammer, fracturing his skull.

DePape has been residing in a decrepit school bus that sits outside the Berkeley home of his ex-girlfriend, Oxane "Gypsy" Taub, also a pro-nudist activist. A two-decade resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, DePape was also known for his pro-nudity activism. He had picketed naked at protests against laws requiring people to be clothed in public. Protesting such a reasonable law is not usually an activity of a Trump supporter. Taub, the mother of DePape's three children, told ABC News he has been suffering from mental illness. "He is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time," she told ABC 7. "He thought he was Jesus," she told ABC 7.  "He was constantly paranoid, thinking people were after him. And it took a good year or two to get back to, you know, being halfway normal."  She also noted DePape's politics were very left-wing.

"Well, when I met him, he was only 20 years old, and he didn't have any experience in politics. And he was very much in alignment with my views, and I've always been very progressive," she said.  "This was not a random act," San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said. "This was intentional. And it's wrong." But no definitive motive has been reported for this "intentional" crime, just a week from an earth-shaking midterm election. "I wasn't surprised because another crazy story is coming from someone in that house," DePape's Berkeley neighbor Ryan La Coste told ABC news. "They are always toxic and always up to something. They are always on the news and trying to be 'activists.' They always want to be in the spotlight."


Reporters on social media noted some shaky details in mainstream media's initial portrayal of Pelosi's attacker as a right-wing activist.

"Why did Paul Pelosi's alleged attacker, a nudist Green Party activist, go off the grid for years and then start posting rants just a few weeks ago?" 
Formal charges against DePape will be filed Monday, and his arraignment is expected Tuesday, according to the San Francisco district attorney's office.

SFPD Chief Scott told a Friday night news briefing that police detectives, assisted by FBI agents, had yet to determine what precipitated the home invasion.

David DePape was identified by the police at the Pelosi home on early Friday morning at around 2:30 am. One main question still unresolved is how did David DePape break into the Pelosi house and not get caught.  If an individual broke into the home of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, there surely is a surveillance system that would tell the police and numerous entities that the house had been broken into. The Pelosis’ home has a security system. This system includes motion detectors. Any movement near the house or broken glass would immediately be registered at the surveillance company. They in turn would notify the police of the encounter. Also, there are police cars circling the neighborhood where the Pelosis live. But the police reported that Paul Pelosi made the call to the police. Paul Pelosi never shared that the home was broken into.



There are also questions about this event being a burglary. DePape reportedly forced entry into a rear door. But a video from yesterday shows that there was glass on the outside of the home on the stairs behind the house. If the window was broken from the outside, wouldn’t the glass be on the floor on the inside of the house?  We are able to confirm that this is the case. There are CCTV cameras all over the Pelosi house. The US Speaker of the House would not be anything but well-protected. There also is a security detail at the Pelosi house reportedly around the clock. There is no way that someone could break into the back door and then enter the house and go unnoticed.

The official story is that DePape entered the house by forcing entry into the back door. This is implausible. He would have been captured by the CCTV cameras and most likely by motion detectors if he was near the house. If he broke into the house cameras and alarms would most likely go off. The fact is that DePape could not have broken into the house without being noticed but that is exactly what the official storyline is. The police state that Paul Pelosi called the police and the police did not respond to an alarm at the house but rather to a call from Paul Pelosi.

We are supposed to believe that DePape made it into the Pelosi house unimpeded and no one noticed the broken door and that Paul Pelosi found him, stepped into a bathroom to call the police, and then came back and fought with DePape over a hammer and the alarms never went off and the security detail on duty ignored the forced entry into the house through the back door.

This story does not add up because the facts don’t add up. The only logical explanation for David DePape being in the house is that he was invited.
