I had to stop and think a minute about who Anne Heche is
I remembered she was famous for something, but I had forgotten what for. Ellen Degeneres' ex-girlfriend, right?
I recognize the three sports figures on the list, Nelly, and AJ Mclean, but the rest...oh, geez lol
Prepare yourself, Robin. This may be a very long season:)

Yes, but since then, went straight and got married and divorced and had at least 1 baby. She's eccentric, to say the least, lol I enjoyed her in this 2006 Lifetime movie with Eric Roberts. It's worth watching if you can find it on Amazon or somewhere. She is a very talented actress.

Oops! She has 2 children. I didn't realize she was 51. Time flies! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_HechePersonal life Heche's relationship with Ellen DeGeneres and the events following their breakup became subjects of widespread media interest. The couple started dating in 1997, and at one point, said they would get a civil union if such became legal in Vermont. They broke up in August 2000. Heche has stated that all of her other romantic relationships have been with men. After reportedly leaving DeGeneres for Coleman "Coley" Laffoon in 2000, on September 1, 2001, Heche married Laffoon, a cameraman whom she met the previous year on DeGeneres' stand-up comedy tour. They have a son, Homer, born on March 2002. Laffoon filed for divorce on February 2, 2007, after five and a half years of marriage. The divorce was finalized on March 4, 2009. Heche reportedly left her husband for Men in Trees co-star James Tupper. On December 5, 2008, Heche's representative confirmed that the actress was pregnant with their first child. Their son, Atlas Heche Tupper, was born in March 2009. This is the second child for Heche and the first for Tupper.[ Tupper and Heche separated in 2018.

Sorry, Robin
I know you like AH and think she is a fine actress, but I cannot bring myself to root for a gal who could willfully name her sons Atlas Tupper & Homer Laffoon
I just can't do it!
My pick to win the MBT this season btw is AJ Mclean
Boy band members are generally good dancers, and if I'm not mistaken, AJ i considered the best dancer of the BSB
So he has to be pre-season favorite to win it all

I think the movie may be called Fatal Error? Not Fatal Desire. I'm checking it out on Amazon Prime right now. I will let you know if this is the right one.
Edit: Confirmed. The name of the movie is "Fatal Error" starring Eric Roberts and Anne Heche, it's on Amazon Prime

I hope it's true that Anne Heche is paired with Keo, he deserves a good one! www.oprahmag.com/entertainment/a33995335/dancing-with-the-stars-season-29-pairings/The official pairings won't be known until Monday, September 14. However, Dance Dish With KB’s Kristyn Burtt, a Dancing With the Stars blogger who predicted last season, has unveiled her official line-up. So, without further ado, the spoilers begin. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev AJ McLean and Cheryl Burke Carole Baskin and Pasha Pashkov Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe Jesse Metcalfe and Sharna Burgess Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong Nelly and Danielle Karagach Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko Justina Machado and Sasha Farber Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson Charles Oakley and Emma Slater Johnny Weir and Britt Stewart So. how legit is this list? In her predictions post, Burtt lists her evidence: For example, Aldama was pictured leaving the DWTS studio with Val Chmerkovskiy, her rumored partner. Similarly, Skai Jackson was spotted with Dancing with the Stars champion Alan Bersten. Until the spoilers are confirmed, hang tight and practice your own dance routines with the help of a pro. Peta won her first MBT with a football player (Donald Driver). Maybe she will win another with Vernon Davis
Davis is a lot bigger dude though. He must go 250-260 pounds. I wonder how nimble he will be on the dance floor?
I like the pairing of Cheryl and AJ. I think they're going to go all the way
Figure skater, Johnny Weir, is also one to keep an eye on

Ache,
That was a long 2 hours! I can't get used to the new format. I couldn't help but notice that a lot of the pros have put on weight (note Cheryl for example).
Tyra is annoyingly upbeat. The whole thing is weird.
I don't know, maybe I'm projecting but they all look depressed :/

Robin lol
Yeah, it looked like Cheryl spent the entire lockdown stuffing her face, didn't it?
I couldn't believe how fat she got; she really let herself go this time
She must be having man problems again or something
And, yes, a very long night. I thought it would never end
Too many pairings (15). Not enough stars. Too much social distancing. No live audience. No live orchestra. Terrible choice for replacement host. And so on and so forth
I know they are doing their best under a difficult circumstance, but they need to do better
But anyway...
I thought gay Johnny Weir was outstanding Kaitlyn Bristowe, who I wanted to hate, was surprisingly good And Val's partner, Monica. She is a little older than the ones Val is typically partnered up with, but being a coach herself, I think she will take coaching well and contend right to the end

Maybe she has a baby in there and thinks she is fooling everyone, lol
Hey, Val looked about 20 pounds heavier too.
I guess they are only human, lots of people have turned to food for comfort during this pandemic, even professional dancers that rely on their appearance and being fit.
Better than drugs and alcohol, I guess.
I'm getting my annual checkup via a 10 minute phone call this year, what a joke! Got to go in for some lab work, keep putting it off. Don't want to look for trouble.
I have had this annoying dry cough, off and on, since January, I wonder if they will offer me a covid-19 test? I don't go anywhere except the market, but that place is probably loaded with germs.
Maybe I should consider Peapod, although I have heard that the driver guy expects a tip? Some people say yes, some people say no.

Yeah, Val looked a little chunky Monday night, but he will work off the extra pounds soon enough
But Cheryl the Whale...ugh. She has never been this big, but the last time she showed up heavy, she stayed that way the whole season
So I am expecting more of the same this season
I have never used Peapod before, so I don't know what tipping should be (if any)
I wouldn't worry about it though
When the delivery arrives, just pretend you are out walking the dogs:)

I did a Yahoo image search yesterday for "fat Cheryl Burke", and that picture popped up
Gotta love Photoshop
Apparently you and I are not the only ones who noticed her amazing weight gain:)

It's Kaitlyn Bristowe for the win, Robin!
I am calling it already. She is the superior dancer this season and will capture the MBT
You heard it here first
She is the latest in a long line of "Bachelor" women to succeed on the show (Melissa Rycroft, Hannah Brown, and so on)
Another long night in the ballroom, so I don't know if you were awake for Kaitlyn's performance. They kept teasing us about her injury, but there was never a question that she would dance
She received the first 8 of the season (from YDH) for her fox trot
Justina the Fat Latina was also outstanding IMO
Monica and gay Johnny, I thought, took a step back
Disney week next week. *groan*

I agree about Kaitlyn, I did see her perform. I did doze off for around 20 minutes, but I'm not sure who I missed.
I am impressed with YDH as a judge, very tactful, careful with his words, and gives the celebrities good tips.
Well, I am having my 10 minute telephone annual visit with my doctor this morning. One of my lab values was a smidge off, he's going to try to talk me into taking weird medication.
Not going to happen, I'm going tell him I've become a Christian Scientist and it's against my religion. I'll pray instead, lol
Update: I got my way! Will repeat the test in a month.

You're doing your annual check up with your doctor over the phone instead of in-person this year because of the virus?
I hope when you re-test the lab result comes back a "smidge on" this time:)
Yeah, YDH has been doing a good job so far taking over for Len at the judge's table
His advice for the dancers has been very solid
Maks, I think, would have been good in that role too
Didn't you recommend him for the post last year?

Maks is home taking care of the kid, I assume.
Yeah, telephone checkup, funny thing, I like my doctor over the phone better than in person. He actually talked to me for 30 minutes.
They offer telehealth too, like zoom, but I'm not sure my old laptop can handle it.
Or, you can go in to the clinic, with a mask and all. I can take my own blood pressure, he didn't even ask what it was!
The dogs get better care than I do, really.

I forgot about little Shai. He must be 2 or 3 by now, right?
I bet he already dances a slammin' tango:)
Hope all is well, Robin
I've never had an annual check up before, but I did, I imagine I'd be a little anxious about it as the date approached

Ache,
You don't go for annual checkups and lab work? How do you know you don't have high cholesterol, or something?
Don't get me wrong, I avoid doctors as much as possible, however, sometimes you have to weigh the pros and cons regarding treatment.
I've made an appointment with a specialist, that is the way to go if they find anything off. Get another opinion.
It's no biggie, my thyroid was a little low :( I am not one to take medication for anything, unless I absolutely have to!
Disney night tonight *groan*
PS: The debate tomorrow night, that should be entertaining, lol

Yup, no annual check up for me yet. I suppose I am living a little dangerously that way, but so far, so good:)
Looking forward to tomorrow's debate! I wonder if Sleepy Joe will be able to stay awake for the whole thing?
Expectations for him are so low though
If he just shows up and doesn't wet himself, the fake news media will declare him the winner
So that is a little worrisome, but it should be fun anyway:)
Meanwhile Disney Night tonight is something I am definitely not looking forward to *grimace*

Haha
Well, you tuned in on what is traditionally the most annoying week of every season...Disney Week...which is basically two hours of shilling for and promotion of the Disney Corporation
Also the entire season ha been Covid compromised unfortunately, ie inferior new host, no live audience, no Len Goodman (legendary crank/judge), and so forth
So I don't think you got the full DWTS experience
But I hope you enjoyed it anyway

Meanwhile Kaitlyn followed up last week's stellar effort with another fine performance, but she got outpointed by Nev and Johnny, so maybe I was a little premature in declaring her the winner already
The judges seem to really like Nev in particular too
I still say K is top dancer and the one to beat, but there are several good ones this season and a long way to go still
PS Anne Heche is being ragdolled by Keo. Sorry, Robin, but I think she is the next one to get the boot

Ache, I know, I expected Anne to do better because she is such a superb actress :( I wonder if Ellen and Portia are watching DWTS, lol StalkingButler , I never had any interest in DWTS till I retired, I was so bored I thought I'd check it out, plus I don't have cable. Ache is right, this season is not typical of past seasons. But, hope you enjoyed it. PS: I hope you all watched the debate last night. Now that was a show!

I have a feeling I'll be seeing much more DWTS and Masked Singer for a while. And I'll occasionally look up from my book to see what's going on ;-)
I watched about a half hour of the debate and mostly just found that they both annoyed me. Trump was bullying Biden like what Biden did to Ryan back in 2012 and Biden's lies were incredible. I can sum it up like this:
Trump: I'm great! Biden: But you have no plan!
Okay boys, back to real life now.

Trump was way too aggressive last night. He will dial it back for the next one though, I'm sure (if there is a next one, that is)
They both interrupted one another throughout, but Wallace only scolded Trump about it, which was revealing
He gave Trump the opportunity to renounce right wing violence, but didn't give Biden the same opportunity to renounce Antifa or BLM
Wallace also repeated the Charlotteville lie
Not an easy debate to moderate, but Chris Wallace did a crap job IMO
