I watched a new OJ doc on CourtTV last week that was quite good
I didn't realize as I was watching that it is a multi-episode documentary. Next installment I believe is tomorrow

This Weinstein trial is getting really creepy. I'm almost sorry I started watching it. I am curious how it will end though, what the jury will do. So many witnesses, this may go on for a long, long time.

There was an allegation made against Weinstein the other day by a witness named Miriam "Mimi" Haleyi
Have you heard about it?
If true, it was pretty damn gross

Yes, there were two more of them today. Graphic testimony. Defense is trying to imply that it was a quid pro quo situation. A lot of these women continued to see Harvey and still would call him looking for jobs. No excuse for what he did, however...
They go over the day's proceedings on Vinnie Politans show later in the evening and interview several lawyers.

Yeah, this trial is something else! Court Tv is quite entertaining. The real deal. Decades ago, all people had was Perry Mason, lol
The other trials are interesting too. I like the evening Vinnie Politan show, they go over all the highlights of the current trials.
Regarding Harvey, the defense is just getting started...

"Harvey Weinstein The Defense Rests"
Harvey decided not to testify (at the last minute) on the advice of his legal team even though he wanted to. An 11th hour decision.
Basically, Jessica's (one of the accusers) friends threw her under the bus. Both said that the accuser and Harvey had an ongoing relationship and they never saw her in distress after she met with him.
Now we are waiting to see if the prosecution wants to do a rebuttal.
Dark day/holiday for court tomorrow, closing arguments to start by the end of the week.
PS: "Talita" the name of one of the defense witnesses, wouldn't that be a perfect name for a female Chihuahua? I think so, I'm writing it down so I don't forget.
Wait. Her last name works too "Maia" (aka Maya, pronounced like the month of May). I think I'm on to something!

Ache,
What do you think of Chanley Painter? Very attractive female, just wondering if the male viewers have noticed.

When I first saw her, I thought she was just another pretty talking head on tv, but she is smart and gorgeous. Has a law degree and is a pageant queen too. Doesn't look much older than 25 to me I don't know about that name Chanley though, Robin. I assume she's from money. Only wealthy parents would ever name their daughter "Chanley", right? What do you think? Will Harvey be acquitted? Ever since the prosecution passed his naked pictures around last week, I've been feeling kinda bad for him I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it PS Talita. Now THAT is a sexy name:)

I think Harvey has a good chance. His defense team is superb. I am not saying what he did was right, but we have all heard of the "casting couch".
Plus, I am bothered by the ongoing relationships some of the accusers maintained with him, it doesn't make sense to me. If someone abuses you, wouldn't a person be inclined to avoid them, but these girls maintained contact?
The name Chanley is of English origin and "Chanley in Hebrew means 'candle maker' or 'light of the world'.".
Don't know if this is accurate but I saw her age listed as 35 on one site.

Yeah, the fact some of the women he is alleged to have assaulted remained friendly with him long after the incidents took place is kind of a red flag
I know the shrink the prosecution brought in explained that an assault victim keeping in touch with her assailant isn't unusual, but I wonder if jury members are convinced of that?
PS According to Wikipedia Chanley won the "Miss Arkansas USA" pageant in 2009 at the age of 24. So, yeah, that makes her 35 years old now. I'm surprised by that

Donna Rotunno is a rock star!
The prosecution is weak.
Monday is a holiday, jury will be back on Tuesday. This could get interesting...
PS: And, don't even get me started on Gloria Allred, lol

Is Gloria Allred still around? I haven't seen or heard from her in years
I know she has an attorney daughter who is almost as obnoxious as she is. I forget her name though

Oh, her daughter is Lisa Bloom.
Yes, Gloria has been representing some of the accusers and has been doing sound bites on the news and Court TV.

Hi, Robin
"Vinnie Politan" sounds like the name of a mixed drink, doesn't it?
A whiskey & soda, two margaritas, and a vinniepolitan please
But anyway I was surprised they sent Harvey straight to Rikers where he has to stew while he awaits sentencing next month
Oh, how the mighty have fallen
Did the judge fear he might be a flight risk or something?
EDIT: He's still in hospital

He's still at Bellevue Prison Ward with armed guards outside his door.
He really does have a multitude of health problems.
He won't spend much, if any time at Rikers. He will be transferred to a California Prison to face charges in LA, after he is sentenced on 3/11 for the NY charges, his lawyers are trying to get the sentencing date moved up.
There are even more women in LA waiting to tell their Harvey Weinstein stories.
I think he's done. He'll never get out. Even if by some miracle he gets light sentences, with his medical problems and his age...it might as well be life.

I think you're right, Robin
The state of his ill health and the likelihood the judge will throw the book at him on sentencing day means Harvey (barring an appeal) will probably spend the rest of his life in prison
For his sake I hope he doesn't end up like Jeffrey Epstein

Weinstein was just sent to Rikers Island. I'm not sure what that means but it doesn't sound good.

I saw that. pagesix.com/2020/03/05/harvey-weinstein-awaiting-transfer-to-rikers-island-after-heart-surgery-source/?_ga=2.231545051.577189481.1583487433-1271015055.157623696(excerpts below) Harvey Weinstein was finally locked up on Rikers Island Thursday — following what sources said was heart surgery at Bellevue Hospital. “He had a heart stent put in [Wednesday] night,” a source familiar with the procedure said. “It took four hours.” The disgraced movie mogul, who was discharged from Bellevue at about 1 p.m., was placed in protective custody in Rikers’ North Infirmary Command, sources said. Sources have said Weinstein will be constantly monitored on Rikers to prevent what one insider called “another Jeffrey Epstein incident,” in reference to last year’s suicide of the infamous financier who hanged himself in a federal lockup in lower Manhattan while awaiting trial on child sex-trafficking charges

Poor Harvey can't catch a break, huh, Robin?
If it isn't one thing with him, it's another
What a disaster he is
At least where he is though he knows where his next roll of toilet paper will be coming from
I sure don't

Forget about finding tp, Amazon may have some for like 10 rolls for $30, lol. Time to get creative...
I don't know how much more I can isolate, my gym shut down, only place I go to is to the market and that will stop (the place is loaded with germs) unless absolutely necessary.
This is very depressing.
I have a mask but haven't used it yet. I have had a mild cold since December, normally I wouldn't think twice about it.
To top it off, one of the dogs may need a dental! My vet is still seeing clients, one at a time.
I am staying active (walking, elliptical bike)
I don't think I will ever feel comfortable in a gym again.
MAKE IT STOP!!!
PS: Thanks for listening :)
