Obama cyber chief confirms 'stand down' order against Russian cyberattacks in summer 2016www.yahoo.com/news/obama-cyber-chief-confirms-stand-order-russian-cyberattacks-summer-2016-204935758.html?soc_src=hl-viewer&soc_trk=twThe Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a “back burner” after he was ordered to “stand down” his efforts in the summer of 2016.
The comments by Michael Daniel, who served as White House “cyber security coordinator” between 2012 and January of last year, provided his first public confirmation of a much-discussed passage in the book, “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump,” co-written by this reporter and David Corn, that detailed his thwarted efforts to respond to the Russian attack.
Hmmm, seems like an awfully strange response to an "act of war."

Even your own source says that the candykissing wingnut cowards refused to align with America's interests and join a bipartisan response to the Russian hacks.
If Obama unilaterally went after Russia you cowards would be blaming him for trying to sway the election ... which your Traitor-in-Chief did anyway when the administration announced the Russian intrusions.
Obama officials chose another course of action after becoming frustrated that Republican leaders on Capitol Hill would not endorse a bipartisan statement condemning Russian interference and fearful that any unilateral action by them would feed then candidate Donald Trump’s claims that the election was rigged. They chose a private “stern” warning by Obama to Russian President Vladimir Putin at a summit in China in early September 2016 to stop his country’s campaign to disrupt the U.S. election.
Obama officials were also worried that a vigorous cyber response along the lines Daniel had proposed could escalate into a full scale cyber war. And, they have since argued, they believed that the president’s warning had some impact, noting — as Daniel did in his testimony — that they saw some tamping down in Russian probing of state election data systems after Obama’s private talk with Putin.

Why did they stand down? Who were they protecting? Do you believe that 911 was a setup so Bush can do all the things he did like go to war in Iraq and the Patriot act?

Heh, heh, heh ... You have been adamant that Russia wasn't responsible for interfering in the election ... now you're saying Obama should have started a cyber war with an innocent country?

Wingnuts start wars just to be at war. I think it's an erectile dysfunction thing. Then they start wrapping themselves in flags and celebrating the military (as long as they don't have to support the VA) and claim everyone who doesn't support their foolishness are hippie commies pinkos. It's all stupid and predictable, really.

Hey you candy kissing wingnut ... explain to everyone why your fellow chickensh!t wingnuts wouldn't go on record and condemn Russia's attacks on the US electoral system.
Who were they protecting?
C'mon you piece-of-shiit coward ... explain why YOUR party wouldn't stick up for their own country when attacked ... the same way your piece-of-shiit Traitor-in-Chief sucks Putin's dick.
Hint: because like you they have no balls and they wanted to try and pin the blame on Obama for influencing the election when in fact he was trying to protect it ... just as your Pile-of-Shiit-in-Chief has been doing ever since the news broke that it was the Russians helping him win.
You really are nothing but a hide-in-the-cellar coward who dutifully regurgitates wingnut diarrhea ... now wipe off your chin, you're making a fool of yourself.
In every thread when you get your candy handed to you, you just run away like a fvcking coward ... so either man up and answer a fvcking question or shut your fvcking piehole like the mamma's boy you are.

The majority of Dems voted against the Iraq war... No .
As I've explained before, Russia clearly did attempt to interfere in our elections mostly by buying Facebook ads but also by attempting, and mostly failing, to hack anything that they could. They may have gotten to Hillary's server but that seems unlikely at this point --- signs point to China.
That said, the CLAIM is that Russia hacked the DNC server. You know, the one that the DNC wouldn't allow the FBI to run forensics on that could have proven Russian misbehavior. If THAT is true then Obama should have wanted to punish the Russians. Instead, the counter-intelligence experts were told to stand down.
None of this makes any sense given the narrative being forced on us by the Democrat losers and their allies in the MSM. It's just complete and total bullshit.
The truth is coming out. I hope that you can handle it.

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaa
The only thing that doesn't make sense is your constant flip flopping, backtracking and absurd attempts at obfuscation.
If you believe Russia simply mounted an ad campaign then why would any PotUS launch a cyber war against a country that, according to you, simply used the publicly available levers of capitalism?
What would the rationale be to attack a country that was only buying ad space?
So, according to your version of events, you must believe Obama did the right thing by issuing a stand down order against a country whose only 'crime' was buying ad space ... Got it.
And I'm not going to explain ... again ... how taking disk images of a server in place, while still connected to the hacked network with it's memory still in status is better than powering it down and wiping that memory of it's evidence just to physically move it ... and it being only one of the 140 or so servers that comprise the hacked network, all of which would have evidence on them ... because you are obviously just too stupid to understand not only how networks operate ... or even the fact that all electronics reset as soon as they are powered off ... but too much of an candykissing lemming to care.
Heh, heh, heh ... you've been promising the 'truth' will come out for nearly a decade now ... don't you ever wonder why this 'truth' never seems to support your crackpot conspiracy theories?
I know ... I know ...
Any ... Day ... Now ...

Reality: Trumps connection with Russia looks worse and worse everyday and more un-explainable. Trumps praise and support for Russia has increased to a treasonous point, so much so that he had to completely lie and backtrack on 2 separate statements he made, looking totally foolish while doing so. You can't explain Trumps continues praise and support for Russia, and Russia support for Trump so you'd rather change the narrative and deny Russia helped Trump win the election. - that's what this is all about.

Spin it however you like but the facts are the facts. Your argument is lost when you can't even accept responsibility for the war in Iraq. This is not a game you want to play. Bill Clinton presided over one of the greatest economic expansions ever- so now you are going to give him credit for that right. Bush was president when 911 happened does that mean that 911 was his fault?? The financial crisis happened 7 years into Bush's presidency does that mean your party is finally ready to accept blame for that? Bush bungled the response to Katrina, does that mean you are ready to accept blame for that? Reagan presided over the Iran contra criminal scandal, does that mean you are finally ready to accept blame for that? Obama inherited a country in economic ruin and passed off a strong stable economy with job and growth numbers identical to what we have today under Trump, so you are ready to give Obama credit for that now? You need to choose your words very carefully because facts and history are not on your side on just about everything. The republicans have not had a decent president in 100 years.

I would discount the World Wars, korea and even Viet Nam as we were asked to be a participant. We did not win them per se, we participated in winning them or lost whatever the case may be. The stage was set, we tried to stay out but our help was needed. The republican wars, meaning started with a wingnut in the white house, like the Mid East wars such as the Gulf War, Afghanistan, The Iraq war, all prolonged wars which we started, escalated and are still in play. Saudis attacked us on 9/11 and we invaded afghanistan. I'm not going to rehash the whole thing, go back to the revolutionary war or get caught up in semantics suffice it to say, if republicans were not involved, we wouldn't be in the quagmire we're in today. Obama had it right, get bin laden for 9/11 and be done with it. He did it right.

Gotta love it, you guys want to blame Bush (who I was not a fan of) for the Gulf War.
He listened to his intelligence agencies who were completely wrong on the WMD's in Iraq.
But now you want to blame Trump for questioning those very same intelligence agencies about the supposed Russian meddling.
As usual, the hypocrisy runs deep with you loons...........

But now you want to blame Trump for questioning those very same intelligence agencies about the supposed Russian meddling. As usual, the hypocrisy runs deep with you loons........... Again the blame game is not something you can play, there has been way too much success under democrats and way too much failure under republicans. Intel can always be wrong, but you are comparing apples to oranges, all these incidents are different and should be treated accordingly. The entire intel world was not in agreement over WMD in Iraq, there were plenty of dissenting voices, which Bush/Chenney choose to ignore. The Bush administration appeared determined to attack Iraq for any number of reasons beyond suspicions of WMDs; officials simply seized on WMDs because they concluded that that represented the strongest case for an invasion. “For bureaucratic reasons we settled on one issue, weapons of mass destruction, because it was the one reason everyone could agree on,” then-Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz told Vanity Fair in 2003.
If you believe that the extremely rock solid evidence that clearly shows Russia hacked our election is wrong then offer up proof and make factual points. I can offer up plenty of intel to suggest there were not WMD in Iraq, and either way Bush fcked up the whole entire invasion through incompetence and negligence. A good president would have still won the Iraq war because they would have planned it way better. Bush fcked the whole thing up 5 different ways, accept it.

I don't care if you like Bush or hate him, why? Do you feel guilty about something? Trump the idiot questions the intelligence agencies to poison the intelligence well to serve his own purposes, to offload his guilt in collusion and then feed it to his dopey lemmings who of course eat it up and regurgitate it (like that makes his rantings legitimate). The Iraq data was contrived and manipulated by and to serve the Bush (R)/Chaney(R) greedy evil axis. Chaney and Halliburton are still making Billions (of your tax dollars) off the Iraq war. FYI: I'm not concerned with meetings with N. Korea and Russia to further peace and denuclearization, I'm concerned that Trump the idiot is doing it and speaking for us and making Americas policy.Try not to get confused.

Correlation does not equal causation, ya moron ... if it did then the sun would never rise unless and until a rooster crowed.
Are you seriously suggesting that the US shouldn't have retaliated for Pearl Harbor or fought to end the genocide of the Jewish population ... or helped rollback Germany's attempts to conquer all of Europe ... and the impetus for those wars is the same as the Iraq war ?
You really are a sick fvck.

Do you really think that all intel and evidence is the same?
Do you really think that the evidence our intel agencies were able to gather from an attack which took place in our own country and which left indelible data signatures on the targets is the same level of intel they are able to gather from within a foreign regime closed to us and our allies?
Geepers ... no wonder you're an candykissing Traitor apologists ... you're too fvcking stupid to do anything but plant your lips on someone's butthole.

And there are questions as to whether the Russians did indeed do the hacking.
Even John McAfee, one of the leading cyber security men on the planet, has openly stated that it wasn't the Russians. Any top level hacker is not going to leave the footprints that will lead back to him/her. That's pretty common knowledge.

He's an expert on nothing and sold his company in 94 so he can live in the jungle. He's a republican and Trump supporter, and he is not a hacker. Everybody across the board that knows about cyber security has all said it was the Russians. You can't produce any real evidence to suggest otherwise, especially when the evidence against the Russians so overwhelming.

John McAfee? Seriously? Of course there is a similarity to Trump. In a McAfee documentary, the Belize hookers he hired to be his girlfriends and live on his Belize property (of which he ran an illegal antibiotics company) said he liked to be pee'd on and one said he would lie under a glass table while she was to defecate on it. Of course this is all before his paranoia sent him running back to Kentucky to hide out because he felt he was being unfairly prosecuted for murder by the Belize government. Ya, he's another perverted wingnut.

In another thread you accused me of incorrectly assuming that you questioned the fact that Russia hacked various entities during the campaign ... now you're proving that you're a pos liar and you do question the findings of our own intel agencies ... just so you can dutifully keep your nose stuck in the sewercrack of the lemming in front of you.
So now you're going to offer the opinion of one seriously delusional and psychotic wingnut ... who hasn't even seen the data ... against the findings of our own security and intel agencies.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!
