ABC won’t reveal the celebrity cast of “Dancing With the Stars: Athletes” until April 13 on “Good Morning America.” But a few names have started slipping out. Us Weekly reports that figure skaters Tonya Harding and Adam Rippon will take part when the 26th season starts April 30. So will snowboarder Jamie Anderson. Rippon took home a bronze medal in the team event at the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea. Anderson won gold in the ladies’ slopestyle and silver in the ladies’ big air at the 2018 Games. Above is an excerpt from www.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment/tv/tv-guy/os-et-dancing-with-the-stars-tonya-harding-adam-rippon-20180404-story.htmlHi, Ache I hope your winter went well, wish it would end. Not good where I am, fallen trees and other stuff. But, spring is here :-)

Hi, Robin
Long winter, huh? I'm glad it's finally over. Doesn't feel like we're through with it quite yet though. Still freezing out there
Sorry to hear about your tree damage. I hope nothing landed near your house. That's dangerous
Looks like I was right about American Idol being the reason DWTS has such a shortened season. Freaking Idol. Used to like that show too, now I hate it. I hope its ratings are tanking
Tonya Harding = garbage! I don't want her on the show. I hope the report above is false
Ditto Adam Rippon. I'm not crazy about him either. He had some nasty things to say about Mike Pence earlier this year

My house didn't get hit, but some of my neighbors had some major damage.
I have no idea who Adam Rippon is? Lol

He is a very chatty, very gay American figure skater who the Left fell in love with this year during the Olympics because he kept trashing the Trump Administration

That's a pretty full line-up for just a four week season
Brace yourself for Quadruple Elimination Night on week 2, Robin. I hope that's not what they're planning, but I don't know how they're going to fit everything into this abbreviated schedule
I'll be rooting for Johnny Damon, ex of the Red Sox/member of the World Series winning team of 2004. AND! A major Trump supporter too. Woo hoo! Make DWTS Great Again, Johnny!
The other thing I'll be rooting for this season: Tonya Harding getting kneecapped backstage opening night
That would be awesome. For me it would represent true justice
Sorry, Robin! Tonya sucks

Andie Hi, andi. What up? Good to see you again Q: Did you get banned last year, or did you delete your own account? I was told the latter by someone in the know, but when I noticed all your messages had disappeared down the memory hole, it made me wonder. Hmmm Either way though, welcome back

Well, I hope so for his sake, Robin. If anyone deserves a break on the show, it's Keo His partner, Jennie Finch, is nice to look at, and I know she's a great athlete, but it remains to be seen how graceful of a dancer she is The pro I'm worried about is this season Sasha. Poor bastard has to go to practice every day and try to put a routine together for this hot, ugly mess. Yuck!:

Sorry the picture is so big. I thought it would reduce after it was posted, but it didn't. Nothing I can do about it now
Btw is that the most unflattering picture of any person you have ever seen in your entire life? Ugh. I'll answer for both of us, Robin: YES!
Thing is, Tonya is an even uglier person on the inside than she is on the out. Hard to imagine, I know, but it's true

Ache and Robin...
Do you have any favorites before the season even begins?
I know in the past figure skaters have usually done well, though Harding is certainly not one of my favorites.
Jennie Finch is a great softball pitcher of course , I just do not know if that will translate to dancing as well as the other contestants.
I do not think Kareem will go very far but for his fan base base. He is far taller then his partner and not all that young.
Of all the men, I think Adam has the best chance.

Yes, figure skaters have always done well, so Adam Rippon & Marai Nagasu have to be considered the early favorites to win
Football players have a strong track record on the show as well; at least three that I recall have won the Mirror Ball (Emmett Smith, Jason Taylor, Hines Ward). So I'm placing Josh Norman in my pre-season Top 3 even though for all I know he may be terrible
And although I'm rooting for him, I suspect Johnny Damon will be quite awful. Hope I'm wrong

Hope I'm wrong You are right. Football players have usually done quite well. I think it is because they are used to working very hard, taking instruction, are still in good shape, have a lot of charisma and are used to doing whatever it takes to win. So Josh Norman may do very well. As a Red Sox fan since I was little, I am conflicted on Damon. I know him going to the Yankees was just business, but the Yankees??? I also do not see him going very far. I am with you on Adam and Marai. My early favorites to win as well. This is great. And my husband thanks you as well. The more I get to share with you the less he has to hear about it. So for the sake of marital harmony Ache he is happy I am back and you and Robin are here to talk with me about DWTS to our hearts delight.

Yeah, Damon signing with the Yankees was regrettable, but enough time has passed since then, so it's okay to go back to rooting for him again, I think
Plus I find it hard cheering for the Red Sox these days with moonbat John Henry, rootie-toot-tootie Linda Pizzuti, and their phoney baloney nightmares about Yawkey Way. Such nonsense. So tiresome
Team's off to a fabulous start though. 13-2. Best in franchise history
PS Marriage is a great institution. Good to know I'm doing my little part here to help keep yours happy, stable, and harmonious!

Good to know I'm doing my little part here to help keep yours happy, stable, and harmonious! Yes, maybe it is okay to root for Damon. He probably will not get too far. And you brought up JH and LP. I truly believe Henry has been a terrible owner of the Sox. He also owns the Boston Globe, which I cancelled by subscription to a long time ago. He pretty much ruined the Globe, which was once a very fine paper. And to mess with Yawkey Way. I want to wring his neck. Thanks for bringing up the sunshine part...13-2. Though poor guys playing in this weather. You are too funny. But I was absolutely serious. My poor husband somehow cannot see the fun of watching and discussing DWTS. So you truly are helping this marriage stay "happy, stable and harmonious" !!! Ache, you are a gift to mankind.

A "gift to mankind", huh? Hmmm
Well, if by "gift" you mean "Grossly Immature Forum Troll", then, yes, I'm inclined to agree with you, andi. Otherwise though I'm not so sure. I think maybe you might be overstating things a little:)
Happy belated birthday by the way to DWTS Season 26 stars, Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Marai Nagasu! Yesterday they each celebrated a birthday. How 'bout dat? Kareem turned 71. Marai, 25
Woot woot!

Quite an age difference. And yes, I do know exactly who Kareem Abdul Jabbar is though I am a woman. I love sports. I wish him luck but I do not think he will go very far. I think this theme of all athletes for this season is a great idea. Wooh Wooh is right !!! April 30th. 12 days from now.

Watched the premiere of DWTS.
There was a double elimination.
I guess that is one way they are doing this "seasonette" in just four weeks.
In case you two have not watched yet, I will not post who was eliminated.
I will say that Josh Norman was very very good.
Also the 2 figure skaters I chose to be top contenders.
I cannot wait to see what you two thought.
Btw, no surprise, Tonya Harding cried more then once.

Looks like our pre-season picks were on the money, andi. All three performed beautifully last night. Slight edge to Josh maybe, but the other two are right on his tail. Really impressed by Marai' body control during her routine. Figure skaters often get little respect, but they are good athletes
Tonya: I swear the judges purposely up-voted her to ensure she made it into next week. She danced okay, but I question those two 8's she received. Even the 7 from Bruno seemed generous to me. The fix had to be in
And she is even more disturbing to look at than I realized: the ponderous breasts, the big fat belly and ass, the false teeth. Ugh. Did you see her working those choppers at the judge's table? So gross!
Twenty four years later too she is still griping about being banned from figure skating. Ugly hag. She's lucky she never had to do time. She should have been thrown in jail for what she did
At least she landed in the bottom 3 though, so she had to sweat it a little. I'm disappointed she wasn't sent home, but maybe next week
Johnny: Too bulky! All those muscles that helped him jerk balls out of the yard in his playing days did him no good last night in the ballroom. Plus he's lefthanded. Lefties often look awkward when dancing for some reason
Other notables: I enjoyed Jennie's foxtrot with Keo. And the luge guy performed some impressive spins with pro partner, Whitney
I almost fell asleep too, Robin! But I fought off the slumber and powered through the whole show:)

Sorry, I have to find a site to watch it for free. I'm still looking.
Tanya always trys to portray herself as the victim.
It seemed like she blamed her boyfriend at the time for orchestrating that awful event. He did the time.

You're right, Robin. It's never Tonya's fault. She's the persecuted one. Nobody understands her, and blah blah blah. Poor, poor pitiful Tonya
I went to ABC, but to view a program there now you have to "verify to watch", whatever that means
Youtube has the individual routines, but not the entire show

Sociopaths feel no empathy for others, not saying she's one.
But if the shoe fits.......
I will try YouTube today, I have been busy, dog sitting for a neighbor and stuff. I tried ABC, even tried to sign up, by "verify" they want you have a FIOS account for example.
