Well, that was a shocking outcome, Robin. What an unpredictable season this has turned out to be
Poor JVDB. He's had a rough last few days. Loses the baby on Saturday/loses the Mirror Ball Trophy tonight. Geez
I suppose Ally is going to win now. The judges all have a giant you-know-what for her
I don't like her, but I have to admit the dance she did tonight (whatever it was) to the classic big band tune "Sing Sing Sing" was something else. She deserved her three 10's

Yeah, but it would be nice for Sasha to win the mirror Ball. He's been paired with a lot of duds till now. This may be his only chance in the foreseeable future, lol
Ally offered to leave so that JVDB could stay. You don't see that kind of generosity very often.
I wish they would all stop crying though. Too much!

I got tired of looking at that generic avatar. Wanted something pleasant but not too self revealing, lol
It's odd though, sometimes I can't see the avatars at all. Must be my computer.

Hi, Robin
Yeah, Sasha has danced with some pretty weak partners over the years. A few seasons ago they stuck him with a midget, remember? lol
So if anyone deserves a break, it's him. I should be pulling for him, I guess, but I just can't bring myself to root for Ally
And, yes, about the crying too. Enough already!
PS I'm breaking out my old "Johnny's Lunch" avatar today

I missed parts of it. Cher was kind of scary looking.
Hannah won. I think it's the first Mirror Ball for Alan, so that's good!

Hi, Robin
I'm not unhappy with last night's result; I was kinda rooting for Hannah, but I'm a little surprised by it. Judging by the reaction when the winner was announced, I think the audience was surprised too
But Hannah is a worthy champion in my opinion, just underscored all season. For some reason the judges didn't fully embrace her like they did a few of the others
But anyway I wonder if this is it for DWTS? Will this be the final season? I hope not. What do you think, Robin?

Gee, I don't know. They didn't say anything about a next season? If I hear anything about it I'll let you know here :)

Nope, nothing was said Monday night about next season
There was a special announcement, that got my attention momentarily, but it was about their touring live show, which I have no interest in
So I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens, Robin
I will try to remain an optimist:)

With season 28 of Dancing With the Stars coming to an end, fans may be wondering when the next season will start. According to Gold Derby, season 29 of Dancing With the Stars‘ premiere date will be in Fall 2020. This means that the show scaling back to once a year instead of twice will continue for longer than just season 28. As for why the change, Gold Derby stated that “ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke said the network was in “in conversations” about whether the show would eventually return to its twice-a-year format, but didn’t guarantee anything. In May, she said she hoped the long break in between seasons and the show’s new tweaks would freshen it and extend its life.” heavy.com/entertainment/2019/11/dancing-with-the-stars-season-29-2020-dwts/

Yes. Happy Thanksgiving to you too SB, and Ache too, of course :)
Pouring myself a glass of Pinot Grigio right now, after all it is a holiday.
And I have already walked 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym.
I don't eat turkey, I lean toward vegetarianism as much as possible. But there is plenty of other stuff to enjoy.

Five miles is impressive, Robin. Way to go!
Happy Thanksgiving
Looks like there will be a Season 29 after all, huh? That's good
There's even mention they may return to twice a year again, but I'm doubtful on that one
I'll believe it when I see it

I highly recommend walking at least 4 or 5 miles a day. It's an effective treatment for SAD. You will get the cardio benefits too :)
It makes a BIG difference. Lowers BP too.

Not to hijack the thread but yes you are absolutely right. Any kind of sustained exercise helps to raise BDNF in the brain which wards off depression and has lots of other health benefits.
